The portal is for people and team members connected to a JH Marlin matter. Use it for secure case information and review the policies that apply to JH Marlin's services and public website.
Upload requested documents and send case-specific questions inside the portal. Do not send sensitive documents through ordinary email.
Signing in does not by itself grant access to a matter. JH Marlin must connect an account to the appropriate case or team workspace.
The primary applicant is the portal coordinator. They manage household material and are responsible for coordinating document collection.
Other adults remain participants in the matter, but participation does not grant portal login access. Shared credentials are prohibited. Each current matter has one approved primary applicant account, not multiple adult logins.
A document or checklist item may be assigned to a household member or other participant for organization. Portal activity is attributed to the primary applicant account; assigning it does not prove that person uploaded or approved it.
Proposed launch baseline: records would be kept for seven years after the matter closes. No retention policy is active.
Legal, regulatory, engagement, or hold requirements may change that period.
Before records are removed, JH Marlin reviews the applicable retention policy and checks legal holds and other requirements. After that review, any record disposition is scheduled under the applicable policy and current hold requirements. Records are not automatically removed or deleted on a particular date.
